The core of the following work revolves around my own original photographs, which I then processed into cyanotype exposures. Each photograph was taken with an iPhone camera and edited afterwards to reach the desired level of quality using the Adobe Lightroom software. I took inspiration from portraiture throughout history from ancient Greek sculpture, to paintings of the Dutch golden age. I focused on classic soft poses and compelling lighting to create my images. While the overarching theme of my works fall under general portrait photography, I found a lot of success in self-portraiture. In committing to photographing self-portraits, I was able to have complete agency over the process as the model, photographer, editor, and printer of the creative images.
